more seat repair questions/options 200

...so I got the seat cover to my passenger side 242 off. Among other things I discovered a badly damaged (ruined?) lumbar mechanism, as well as only 4 remaining springs to support the seat bottom. My questions are:

1)- do I have any options with this lumbar, short of getting a new one off ebay.
2)- what have yall tried in terms of replacing the seat springs? I don't have the original ones. I plan to repair the foam, which is in pretty good shape for an 81, and install some carpet etc to keep things nice, but it seems like with only 4 springs, I'm gonna have problems. I thought about just tieing some zip-ties, but those would be rigid. Has anyone tried just bungee cords? Will I be fine with just the 4?

Any help is appreciated (pics of lumbar & seat springs below)
