Thought you were a 240 guy 700 1987

Don't be surprised when you love your 760 turbo and begrudgingly demystify the 240 wundercar. The suspension is lighter, well sprung (get IPD anti sways) The seating and lowered windows feel less cave like. The engine bay is less cramped. The center of gravity is lower, wheelbase wider so less of the top heavy 240 feeling. And the turbo...40 more horse with a freer reving cam make 5000rpm's less labored- she spins easier. I loved the 245- had a couple of wagons and a 240 turbo 1981 with 4 spd OD stick. Fun but always tinkering to get more. The 1985 760T with 230K I have now is a much better riding and quick car. I love the suspension over lousy roads and the tracking and handling at 85-90 on the freeways. It just feels more agile than any 240 and God knows I have loved to love them. I took a shot with the 760T and have never looked back. I have a 1989 740T as a backup car that I just converted to stick shift. I think you will have a good friend for a while with yours. It's easy to fix and the maitenance forum on the brickboard floods you with know-how. Parts at the yard are accessible and cheap. One more thing when I changed my steering wheel from the larger 740 style to the smaller nicer 240 turbo steering wheel it was a great match with perfect feel- definitely made it feel sportier (it blocks the gauges a little bit- but worth it) My 1989 740T 145K with cold A/C, sunroof working, pwr ant working, new front shocks/ ball joints/ front bushings/ rotors/ new filters/ cat/ all synthetic fluids 4spd O/D stick Husco armrest-cupholder Hydras with new tires newer seats-$3000.00 and labor is free!!! Good luck
