Does an '87 B230FT fit into an '82 240 DL? 200 1982

Does an '87 B230FT fit into an '82 240 DL?

Does anyone have any knowledge or can recommend an existing thread?

The car: '82 240 DL, norm. aspirated, manual transmission (don't know which one)
The replacement engine: '87 B230FT from a wrecked 740T sedan (auto transmission)
The big idea: refurbish and modify the 2-door DL, take the horsepower up to 160+ from 98.

I have the fuel system, intercooler, ignition, and other wiring parts from the 740T that I'll use along with the engine. The existing '82 manual transmission stays in place, so a subset of this problem is mating the '87 B230FT to the '82 transmission. Possible?

Did the 200-series ever come with a B230 stock? Do the motor mounts fit? Does the tranmission mate up? Is there space in the chassis for the rear-mounted distributor, and for the intercooler?

Thanks for any suggestions.
