Plastic 'Welder'?

I have not used either of these, but during one summer in the '70s I had a job that required plastic welding. Pretty simple technology, so I would guessthat these systems will work fine.

The welder must not only soften the welding rod, but it needs to soften the substrate. This requires carefull attention to air flow and speed of application. The substrate and welding rod need to have very close melting points, or one will get too soft while the other is till unmelted. When adjusted right, you will be able to run a nice fully bonded bead with ease. It is easier than welding metal.
