940 SOUNDS LIKE I DON'T HAVE A MUFFLER ANYMORE? 900 1991

HELLO EVERYONE,

FOR THE PAST WEEK OR SO I HAVE HAD AN OCCASIONAL CLATTER FROM UNDERNEATH BUT ONLY WHEN MY FOOT IS ON THE GAS, NOT AT IDLE OR EVEN GASSING IN NUETRAL. TON IGHT I WAS COMING HOME AND WHEN I WENT TO START THE CAR IT SOUNDED LIKE A I HAD NO MUFFLER AT ALL. DO I HAVE TO REPLACE MY WHOLE EXHAUST SYSTEM. MUFFLER SEEMS FINE, STILL ON. SOUND SEEMS TO COME FROM MID SECTION OR FRONT. LOUD AS ##$#%#! REALLY STRONG VIBRATION TOO, THROUGH THE WHOLE CAR. THIS IS EMBARRASING AND I CAN'T LIVE WITH IT LONG. HELP!?
