Is this the right trans fluid filter? 1800

I need a trans fluid filter for my 1971 P1800 Automatic. My local Volvo shop gave me a WIX 58708 (51708). It looks about the same, but the gasget is thin and cork. Any idea if this is right? Also, can this be done without a torque wrench or is that a MUST? Thanks
