Fuel Pumps 200

I'm picking up a 1980 242 and im scrapping my 88 244.. sounds stupid i know i know.. but will the inline fuel pump from the 88 be compatible with my 80? I know they are different model numbers (the 88 is mounted under the car with the fuel filter, where is the 80s mounted?).

Both cars are non turbo, although im gonna do the swap in the 242 one day but right now my concern is keeping it running while i get the body cleaned up and painted and the pump is shot.
