Just how tight should the oil drain plug be 200 1988

If you use a torque wrench, the Bentley manual says to torque it to 45 ft*lbs.

However, don't worry about an exact torque. Just make sure you replace the washer every time and you'll be just fine. Just tighten it until it seems tight.

Look at it this way: If you have been doing your half turn method for a while and you haven't stripped the plug yet, and you haven't been leaking any oil, I wouldn't worry about it.
