I agree with Randy....gotta take the throttle body (TB) out to get it sparkling clean. This is easy (see FAQ), but buy a new gasket first. In my TB, the buildup is worse on the mainfold side rather than on the air cleaner side. Clean out those little ports in the TB with the tube attached to the nozzle of the can of injector cleaner or use compressed air.

My car stumbles a bit, but does not stall, when putting in gear after starting the engine. I have learned from the posts in this thread that I may have a dirty or slow-responding IAC valve. Thanks guys.
