engine has to be started a second time after stalling when cold. S90-V90 1997

Is there a reason why my car dies after it is first started in the morning.
It starts and runs fine on the second try.
I'm suspecting a fuel system check valve failure that is allowing the pressure to bleed off overnight. Where would this valve be located.
Has anyone out there seen this before??
