Please help me get a softer ride 700

The former owner had front struts put on at the local Firestone. I do not know what they are but they are VERY stiff. I mean it feels like I am on stilts at times. The rear are not near this stiff.

I have to have a softer ride - but I want quality (at a good price). Please help me attain this goal.
