Air Vent Cover Scoop 700

I picked up a 1986 744t as a parts car. The car has a cover over the fresh air intake that kind of acts like a mini hood scoop. How do i get this cover off without breaking it? The plastic is pretty brittle and I would like to put it on one of my wagons. Seems to be attached to the vent bars but nothing seems to release it. Thanks.
