amm voltage on #3 terminal-faq says 2.3 volts at idle-my sensor is 2.50-defective? 700 1990

My amm meter has 170k miles on it and I am thinking about replacing it,I read the FAQ section and the voltage specified shoud be around 2.3 volts at idle from the back side of term #3 and gound. My 89' turbo with the amm part# ending in "007" is exactly 2.3 volts but the 90' 740 b234 is reading 2.55 volts at idle with the sensor part# ending in "016".Is the sensor in need of replacement or is the 16v engine just drawing more air in at idle than the 8 valve TC model?
