Radiator fault? 900 1995

940 Non-Turbo Year 1995

Changed the water pump thrice within this 5 months. All original Volvo parts. Got it done at the dealer.

The third time, they told me to change the radiator because they've measured pressure at several points and found that radiator pressure reading differs from specs. As to how big is the difference, the service advisor can't tell me. I'm still trying to get hold of the guy who did the test but apparently he went for some updating course conducted by Volvo.

My question is can this be true? Can the radiator cause the water pump to fail? While the previous two replacements were FOC except for the coolants, they told me that the warranty has expired because of the out-of-specs radiator.

Please advise.

Thanks.
