960 front door speaker purchase 900

Tonight I've discovered my front right door speaker doesn't work.

I tried re-soldering all the joint on the bass side (the tweeder part works fine) but it doesn't help. Did a continuity check with a meter and everything seems okay.

Once I push my hand on the 6" cone it starts working but if I jiggle it a little bit is stops. The potting compond where the wires attach to the cone looks okay.

My neighbor says the speaker is blown ...whatever that means.

Started shopping on the internet for a new one but can't find a factory speaker to buy anywhere.
Went to the aftermarket sites but it's not real clear if they will mount up correctly.

It almost looks as though you could put a pipe wrench on the magnet and twist off the speaker part and save the mounting hardware for a new aftermarket speaker. Has anyone tried this? Is this correct?
Any response will be appreciated.
