How to test the A/C Compressor? Step by Step info needed. 700 1991

Howdy,
Hopefully someone will be able to answer my each of my specific questions re an AC system that does not blow cold air.

I am pretty sure the compressor is not working, as not of the refridgerant pipes are cool, so it must not be circulating, or is completely empty.
The compressor ground wire seems firmly connected at both ends.

The green-red wire supplying voltage to the compressor also seems firmly attached.

I have read all of the material in the FAQs, but find it somewhat incomplete for those who know little or nothing about the AC system.

I have the manual climate control unit.

QUESTIONS:

1 AC pressure sensor - where exactly is this? (which I read will prevent any voltage from reaching the compressor if system pressure is too low) and and how is it tested, separate from the control unit?

2 Seized Compressor? - the belt-driven pulley on the compressor is turning with engine running. Is there some other rotation that should be seen to confirm the compressor is not seized?

3a Clutch testing - where exactly should the leads from a spare battery be attached to check the compressor clutch function?

b What will be seen/ heard with a working clutch?

c Can it be tested with just the key and AC turned on or does the engine have to be running as well?

4 Electrical supply testing - When checking for voltage supply at the single pole compressor connector, where should the other electrode of the volt meter be placed, on the ground wire?

5 I am getting constant 13 volt reading from the green leads which plug into the receiver/dryer, even with the AC off and the car off. Is this normal, and if not what diagnostic info does it give?

I realized this is a lot of info, hopefully I can get each of the quesions answered - next step is handing the car over to an AC shop.

Thanks
