Generic Steering Rack (Boots) Lube? 200 1981

Posted this Q? a while back and got some helpful replies. To see the thread, go to http://www.brickboard.com/RWD/index.htm?id=800608&show_all=1

So, I'm having a snooze while my wife drives the minivan on our recent getaway three days ago to the N.Calif coast, when she comes to a small city (Eureka) and stops at a light. This wakes me up...the first thing I see out the window ahead is the big blue sign "VOLVO". Talk about karma. The service manager told me they don't even stock the "boot lube" Volvo call for in rack rebuilds - just use CV joint lube. Got some at a parts place and installed the new inner tie rod and boots after smearing the stuff all over the inner tie rod ball jts.
