Twin Cities people: group buy silage bag for car storage?

Steve Ringlee is sophisticated. He lives in Iowa. He strongly recommends Carbag for auto storage. Looks good.

But my spending on hobbies is out of control. And carbag is about $240, apparently.

And I am a rube from Minnesota.

So I conclude that an economical alternative for storage may be a silage bag or silage tube. I am sure that you have seen such long tubes at the sides of the fields or near barns. Plenty stout. Available in 8,9,10-foot diameters, lengths of 100 or 200 feet or so. About $2/foot.

(Drive car in bag, seal one end, partially seal other end, suck out flop with ShopVac, finish sealing.)

Does anyone else in the Twin Cities/Minneapolis/St. Paul want to get a roll with me? If I knew a dairy farmer I would try to score a cut 25-foot length for tests, but I know only grain farmers in SW Minnesota.

Thanks for listening.
