Rough running...sometimes 200 1986

My sone has complained of intermittent rough running in his 86 244 for a few months, but everytime I test drive it there is nothing wrong. Today was the exception in that it is running very rough when I am driving it.

This is inetermittent in that twice today when I started it, it ran just fine. On one of those occassions, it started running rough about 20 sec later. Even when it is running rough there are short intervals when it starts to run fine. I trieed swapping out fuel pump relays with no effect. I also tried wiggling the ignition wires, the fuel injector wires, and the wiring harness in general to see if I could find a reason for this. No luck

Dose anyone have any ideas before I am forced to take the car to the shop. Of course, knowing my luck, it will run just fine on that day
