Where to put gauges? 200 1977

I'm adding some extra gauges to the wishlist for my 245, and I was wondering what everyone thought the most important ones to have are. At the moment I've got a tacho, speedo, fuel gauge, temp gauge and that's about it.

Having had alternator and battery problems in the past I'd like to have either an Ammeter or Voltmeter on the dash, and it would be kinda neat to be able to see my oil pressure. Would these be the best two to be adding, or is there something other variable in the motor I really need to know about while driving? Which cars should I be looking to pull the required hardware out of?

I have no spare slots, apart from where the clock would normaly go. Can I easily fit them between the two central heater vents. My dash is more or less like HearToTemptYou's only without the clock.
