WAIT!! WAIT!!

There is a quick and dirty method that may completely eliminate the troublesome
bleeding operation.

Here's how:

Take all the brake pads out. Replace them with plates or spacers the same
thickness as the metal backing plate. Apply the brake (with plenty of fluid
in the OLD master cylinder until all the plates are tight against the disks.

Put enough fluid into the new master cylinder that the cylinder itself is
full, but leave space in the reservoir. (this will be a dribbly operation).
Take off the old MC and put the new one on, and pipe it up. Go ahead and
tighten the fittings.

Take the switch off the balance valve so that it doesn't get stuck on one
side or the other. Press the pistons back far enough to put the pads back
in, one at a time, checking that the reservoir doesn't overflow. May have
to suck some fluid out of it if it gets too full. Keep on till all the brake
pads are back in. Put the switch back in and try the brake pedal. Should
have pushed all the air back up through the MC with the caliper pistons.
