Radio? Stumped 700 1989

First Off thanks to everyone who replyed to all my post's while i was putting an engine in my new 89 760Ti, not completed yet but i was at a point this evening that i was able to start the car and it fired right up and sounded beautiful, still need to fix a coolent pipe on the turbo before i can actually leave it running long enough to warm up.

The radio in the car, when i got it, it said the whole code thing, well at the time it wasnt an issue, i turned it off and then got to work, i left the battery cable off during the entire time i was working on the car ( who wouldnt ) today i went to turn it on to see if it worked and i got nothing nothing at all no code no nothing on the screen, is this normall first off? i couldnt find any blowen fuses, did this radio just all the sudden decide to go Kaput on me? BTW i did check the FAQ before posting about this.
