radaitor seam split/head gasket/or green cap/1989 780 turbo 700

I was pushing my car hard this morning over a hill and passing someone..full turbo throttle. When I got home I noticed that I had a slow leak from a seam..car not running. I have had a seam splitting problem before on this radiator..but had it weleded..not this is the first side that I welded maybe a year ago that is leaking again. MY question is...possible the extreme pressure of the turbo on full throttle caused gases to leak past the head gasket. My gasket was changed by a dealer but never Retroqued at any interval..would that help this situation..I havent seen any oil in the overflow tank yet? OR is it just because I used the green cap which is twice the pressure of the black cap on the overflow tank. Can you retorque with the camshaft on..by just removing the valve cover and following the sequence...thanks...Jeffry
