88 765 230FT Compatibility with a 98 940 230FT Engine

Ummm, 1998 B230FT? 1995 was the last year for 940's with 4 cylinder engines. When swapping turbo engines you will have to take into account the different engine management systems which will at the very least mean different wiring harnesses. Up to 1989 (I think that was the cut-off year), the B230FT's used in the 700 series had LH 2.2 injection with EZ-117K ignition. The B230FT's used afterwards in the 700's and 900's were LH Jetronic 2.4 with EZ-116K. Other than that, things like chassis and accessory mounting should be fairly compatible, although not necessarily identical.
