weber carb problem 140-160

I have a weber 32-36 downdraft carb on my 142, and I have replaced the idle jets to the largest size available in IPD's tuning kit. I have noticed that it does not stumble as much off idle, however, it does not run well at all when the engine is cold (seems like the throttle does not pick up enough when the choke is on). In addition, the car idle's a little rough when fully warmed, and I'm thinking performance is probably suffering because of this. If anybody has some advice I would greatly appreciate it!
