Warning Lights Flickering at idle, go out when i rev engine 700

My 88 745t's warning lights started flickering as I pulled into the driveway today. The battery gauge also showed a huge drop in voltage. They go out when I rev the engine and the voltmeter surges also. Is my alternator going? Or can it be the voltage regulator? Thanks in advance.
