Oil Leaking SU's 444-544

Several months ago, I read on this forum that any thin oil will work in SU's even Marvel Mystery oil. OK, seeing that I had some anyway, that is what I have been using. About a month ago, I noticed oil on the outside of the jets. These are new jets that were put on not too long before that so that might be the source of the problem. Maybe I didn't do something I should have.

I then talked to the guy that rebuilt the carbs (highly recommended) and he reminded me that I should have used a thicker oil, 15W50 Mobil 1 is his choice. I changed to the Mobil 1 and it seemed to work for a while but the leak is back, not as bad but still a leak.

What made me check for it is a very high idle for about five seconds when the car is started again after it is warmed up. Cold starts are fine.

Anyone solve this one before?
