Busted fuel rail? 200 1982

I was putting on a new FPR on my sisters '82 245 and I fear I have caused more of a problem than I started with.

After installing the new regulator, hooking up the hoses, etc. I started the car. It was running funny (like it was missing) I checked under the hood and fuel was leaking/spraying from the rubber hose that connects the #1 injector to the fuel rail.

In taking off the old FPR I must have damaged the rail. Is there an easy way to check what went wrong? Could I have simply damaged the hose going to the injector? If it is the rail, how much would it cost to get a new one?

Thanks!
