new to me 73 p180 es-some questions 1800 1973

I just purchased a 73 1800es. I know little about these cars. Actually I was looking for parts on Ebay for my 78 242 when I happened across the auction. Yes-it was an impulse buy, but hopefully will prove fruitful. Anyway, the fuel injection has been replaced with a carburator. Is that a typical change? Any pointers to a new P1800 owner. I am under the impression (this based on my 242) that P1800s are basic, easy to work on cars. Am I wrong?
