Cause of electric window fuse blowing too often 200 1992

When I got my '91 a few years ago, it had the same issue. After messing with it for too long, I finally took it to the shop for repairs. What they told me was that Volvo just has too much stuff running through that small 8a fuse. I think I remember that the biggest part of the problem was the electric fan in front of the radiator. About the time two or three occupants of the car decide to lower a window to let the hot air out, the fan kicks on with the a/c. All that going on at once just pops your fuse. It may occur to you that your problem is in the hot summer months. You probably did not blow any fuses this winter. So, how did the shop make the repair? By up-sizing the fuse to 16a. I normally would not recommend this, and you can proceed at your own risk, but the guy who has worked with Volvos for more than 30 years assured me this was a common problem and a common fix. It has worked for me with no problem and no blown fuses for over five years.
