One more wiring harness question - gray connecter issue 200 1980

Installed the replacement harness, the correct one for my car (1980 245DL B21F K-Jet). The gray plug on the harness has two feet - one on each short side - that lock into the receptacles on the other half of the harness. On my original one, these two feet were not the same size (and the receptacles were matched to them). On the replacement, they're both the larger size. I can tell the proper orientation of the plug based on wire colors - should I just not worry about this and break off the small receptacle so I can plug the harness together?? Or is this indicative of a problem?

Thanks

Zack
