manual trans implant to 940 700

Mr John Sargeant probably has the most know-how on this question... How involved is it to transplant a m46 manual trans into a 1991-1994 940? I know the flywheel must be the sensor pick up recessed one, the relay is the red one. Isn't the location of the relays different? What is to be done with the instrument gauge indicator for OD (will its function be reversed)? Will the driveline from a manual fit the 940? My goal is to have the latest nicest 940 rear drive turbo with a manual transmission to serve me for a long while. Is it possible and practical? Is it worth it considering automatics are damn good these days AW71L with lock ip torque converter 25-27mpg??!!! Has anyone put a manual stick in a 940 with happy results?
