They are just "kits" of units removed from cars at junkyards. They were standard on some older volvos, usually ones that came with manual transmissions. 4 bolts brings out the instrument panel... then it is just a matter of installing the tach in the panel in place of the clock, then conenting the tach wire that is chillin behind the panel area.. then running the harness to power the clock from the back of the tach.
