Low Beams & Driving Lights Out 200 1983

Hi all. I've found some good info on this problem, but no clear cut answer. I'm hoping someone will be able to deduce it from the symptoms, so here goes.

Yesterday the low beams on my 83 245 turbo stopped working. Ditto for the instrument lights and the running lights. When I turn the light switch no lights come on, and there is no movement of the voltage meter (no power draw). No bulb lamp sensor comes on either.

If I flick the high beams on and hold the lever back, the high beams come on and so do the instrument lights and the running lights. When I release the lever, they all go out again.

Brake lights and reverse lights are fine.

I discovered this problem just as dusk fell...about 5 minutes after getting off the 495 beltway. Just in time as I had no idea I was driving "dark".

Any help would be appreciated.
