wierd hissing noise.. heater core??? 700

hey guys,
I get this wierd hissing noise that seems to be comming from behind my glovebox... wich I know in my old VW was where the heater core was, it hasnt caused any problems with my heater or water level or anything like that, it just sounds steam escaping or something, but its not commin out of my heater vents or from under the hood or anything...

anyone else have this wierd hissing noise?
any way to fix it without replacing heater core (wich is ultra expensive)
