Speedometer Cable Change 200 1983

One difficult part for me was getting the firewall grommet back in place and that was actually not too bad. The only real PITA was connecting the cable to the speedo itself. The new cable was a real tight fit. I had to work it on little by little. I attribute this to the fact that my replacement cable was made by Scan Tech and their quality control is uneven at best. Who is your cable made by?
You might leave the two clamps on the chassis a bit loose until you get the cable comfortably in place. Just need to allow a little room for adjustment.
