I agree with the previous post, in that it sounds like the AMM. You can get a rebuilt for ~200 with a warranty, I'd be careful of the "good" used one. Also, make sure your throttle plate and microswitch are set properly, they do get out of adjustment after 11 years. Cleaning the throttle plate and setting the throttle stop screw and microswitch made a big difference in my car.
