Rear Seat Removal 101 with Photo and Small Payout 900 1993

My son, Volvo Boy (VII or VIII?), had “borrowed” my wife’s trunk mounted CD changer yesterday and had to R&R the rear seat in two car plus do a bit of trim work. While cleaning the interior of the T-Rex today, I decided to check out the underworld of the back seat. I had skimmed over the instruction a while ago and didn’t quite get it and asked BV to show me.

Push down the front part of the seat at a point about 12” from the side and them back and up. Repeat on the other side. It takes a fair amount of force to do this. Re install by lowering the seat and pushing the front of the seat back to allow the wire hoop on the seat to catch the hook on the body.

My latest purchase, a 93 T-Rex driver-park-her-anywhere, had about 3-4 back seat soda spills over the years that had to be cleaned up. Total pay out was only about two-three bucks. There were even a few quarters “syrup glued” to the bottom of the foam.
