front wheel bearing seal 200 1987

Howdy,
I am repacking the front wheel bearings, having the rotors turned and installing new brake pads. Upon puchasing the new inner seal I was confused as to how it was installed. This is the first time I have seen a seal sold without the metal ring attached to it ( the one you press on to install the seal in the hub.) The seal has a flap on one side and the other side is a bit conical. It looks just like the seal I pulled off but the install is not so easy..... The seal also has to be stretched over the spindle because its a bit smaller in diameter. sorry for the long babble. Any help would be greatly appreciated
T
