sunroof headliner replacement 700 1987

You're right. There is a fabric base on the sunroof When the foam backing of my original headliner disintegrated, it left the base fabric intact. All I had to do was take the headliner material and glue it (using the 3m glue that everyone recommends)onto the existing cloth. If the cloth is missing, then you need to replace it. If you have a remnent of the old cloth, you may want to take it to a fabric shop and see what they have that is similar. You will want to stretch this fabric over the sunroof frame and then attach the headliner material to the fabric.
