Limp clutch pedal 200

I had my clutch replaced about 6 months ago. My pedal has about an inch of movement(flop) at the top. I mean it hangs so that when the clutch is not engaged, you can hear a chirp that only disappears if I put my foot under the pedal and pull up. Is this a loose cable, or the fork? Bob
