Vent Window Pivots 140-160 1971

Had a look today and was shocked to see mine has come loose as well. And I did not even notice it! Well, don't use it that much.

Yes, you must use special glue on glass, because normal glue (eg "super glue") expands/contracts differently from glass and will crack it. Just use some surgical spirits (or the cheaper purple stuff) to clean the glass before glueing it.

By the way, my father tells me that he had the clips on those windows of his '71 144S upgraded due to the crime in South Africa. The ones he got fitted (by Volvo) requires that you wind the main side window almost completely down before you can unhook the clip for the small window and open it. Just wondering if anyone else had this done or know if it was fitted as standard to later model.

Have fun...
