momentary switch in 88 745 700

I want to wire a momentary switch into my 88 700 wagon. It starts fine cold, in fact the colder it is the quicker it fires. It also starts right up if it is hot. But if it is warm I must give the ignition a quick bump to pressure the thing up and then it will start. My question is: What is the best manner for wiring the switch in ie. What do I wire the switch to? I have been told something about "Christmas wires" (red and green)) in the right rear storage well......anything to that? Thanks in advance.
