760-un turbo cutting out 700 1989

My 89 760-T wagon with 220K on it has just developed a new quirk. (BTW-the turbo was disconnected at 150K for the usual reason) Today was the first really warm day (80) we've had, just in case that may be a factor. Car is warmed up- park it, come out a little while later, starts up no problem, tachs at a grand, goes good until you step on gas to go into traffic or accelerate underway, then it cuts out (like a waste-gate cut-out with the turbo under load) until you let up off the gas and bring it back up slowly. Problem goes away for the most part after 3-4 minutes but occasionally comes back to haunt when sudden acceleration is needed. When it cuts out, idle drops back to a grand, just as if I never stepped on the pedal. WHAT'S UP??? All help appreciated! -J-Dog
