Need advice on ECU Service Facilities

Hey again, as I have indicated in my previous posts, I am going to be needing either ECU testing/repair(Fuel and Ignition) or an AMM. Before I do this I am going to try to swap parts from my girlfriend's 92'240 to isolate the problem. I need advice on a good facility someone else has personally used for repair and upgrade of a 556 ECU and 016 AMM on a 91 240. I am thinking that while I have the cash that I might just have the Fuel ECU checked and upgraded to a 933 anyway to save future problems(-$387.00 with 3 yr warranty at Programa Inc in Boca Raton). Any advice? Also, if I have an ECU related problem can I fry her AMM when I swap it out???..Please let me know as she would be less than happy if I grounded her brick along with mine..Thanks yet again..
