Hi again

Is the ignition timing adjustable on a B230E (with a K-jetronic)? Reason asking is that I took off the distributor recently to change its seals. The distributor has the hall sensor (if that would have any differences, I don't know). What would be noticed if the timing is out? And is there an alternative way or trick anyone knows of checking or adjusting the timing if you don't happen to have a timing light?
