Air Intake... and These Damned Taillights 200 1986

Learned this evening that my air box thermostat was indeed non-functional, the damned thing was stuck in the hot position. Have I fried my AMM? For the moment, I've removed the innards from the air box, as well as the hose from the exhaust manifold. I'm planning on testing the AMM per Bentley. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

In addition, it's the old-taillight-cluster-in-the-newer-model issue. The socket in the right rear tail/stop is supposed to be white, correct? I've got the newer printed circuit, with three contacts, and the tiny pin busted off to accept the socket properly. It's worked fine for months, but now I'm getting a bulb failure warning when the brakes are applied, and no taillight. Adjusting the socket merely blows another fuse. The bulb looks just fine.

There's got to be a trick I don't know about, doesn't there? I really thought this was behind me, but...

Thanks, folks, for any help you might offer,

Brendan.
