AMM to turbo hose 3514480 900

Just a caution to anyone with a turbo motor. I was poking around in my engine bay the other day to try and install my g-valve. I removed the hose going from the top of the airbox AMM to the turbo. Upon removal, I noticed a gaping hole of cancerous-looking origin just aft of the solenoid valve that is mounted in the middle. I call it cancerous because it looks like it corroded from the inside-out like a festering sore! According to the local dealer, these hoses have a habit of corroding at this spot because of oil & oil vapors coming into the hose from the crankcase. Not a cheap hose at roughly $250 CDN!
