Just evacuated system using a RIGID freon removal machine with proper hoses and Freon recovery canaster. Reloaded system with R134a, but could not get a pressure reading on compressor when finished. Compressor on high side read 0 psi. Sight glass in receiver/dryer did show bubbles when recharging. I added about 6 12 oz. cans of R134a and a can of esther oil and a can of red dye. Saw no read dye leaks anywhere. I am get current at the thermostat switch on dash because I checked with test light. I'm not sure I have the wires set up correctly as I once had the switch off this winter to fix something and I'm not sure I got it correct going back on. The green and white Volvo Service Manuals show different color coding for the switch than the wires I have (green and white/red stripe). Would appreciate diagram or photo of switch properly wired. Don't seem to sense compressor clutch engaging or disengaging which leads me to believe that the reason for a/c failure is that the compressor is not receiving current to engage clutch and therefore is not pumping freon though system. There are no bubbles in sight glass on dryer receiver and I can only light one side with the test light on the switch for the dryer receiver. Anybody got an idea as to what's wrong?
