245 brakes 200 1993

We have an '88 745, a '93 245, and a '95 855. Having recently moved to the mountains in Eastern PA, I've noticed that we are using up rear brakes at twice the rate of the front ones. I've been repairing my own cars for approx. 25 years, and usually the fronts wear much faster. C'mon Volvo people who live in mountain regions, is there anything to this????
